  • Tadeusz Słobodzianek

    Director of the Dramatic Theatre of Warsaw (since 2013) 

    The creator and artistic director of the Laboratory of Drama (Laboratorium Dramatu), the director of the Tadeusz Łomnicki Theatre in Wola in the years 2010-2012, theatrical critic, director and producer. He graduated from Theatre Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. In the years 1978-1981 he was writing theatrical reviews under the pseudonym Jan Koniecpolski in two magazines: Student and Polityka. In 1981 he made his debut as a playwright with a play for children Baśń jesienna (Autumn fairy tale), directed by Rudolf Zioło in the Wojciech Bogusławski Theatre in Kalisz, and later in 1982 he directed his first play Osmędeusze. Kabaret Kici Koci written by Miron Białoszewski, also in the Wojciech Bogusławski Theatre in Kalisz. As a dramaturg and director he collaborated with theatres in Warsaw, Cracow, Łódź, Poznań, Gdańsk, Kalisz and Białystok. In 1991 he was one of the co-founders of the Theatre Wierszalin. He is an author of plays, such as: Car Mikołaj/Tzar Mikołaj (1985), Obywatel Pekosiewicz/Citizen Pekosiewicz (1986), Turlajgorszek (1990), Prorok Ilja/Prophet Ilja (1992), Merlin. Inna historia/Merlin. A Different Story (1992), Kowal Malambo/Blacksmith Malambo (1992), Sen pluskwy/A bedbug’s dream (2001), Śmierć proroka/The Death of a Prophet (2011), Młody Stalin/Young Stalin (2013), Niedźwiedź Wojtek/Voytek the Bear (2016), Historia Jakuba/The Story of Jakub (2017), which have been realized by: Kazimierz Dejmek, Mikołaj Grabowski, Maciej Prus, Ondrej Spisak, Piotr Tomaszuk, Andrzej Woron, Gabor Mate, Hanan Snir, Yana Ross, Bijan Shejbani, Natalie Ringler, Michael Gieleta. He is a laureate of many different prizes, such as: Nagroda Fundacji Kultury Wiejskiej im. Stanisława Piętaka (The Foundation of the Rural Culture Award), for the play Prophet Ilja, Nagroda Literacka Fundacji im. Kościelskich (Literary Award of the Kościelskich Foundation), and the Passport of the magazine Polityka for his achievements in Theatre. For his play Nasza klasa. Historia w XIV lekcjach/Our class. History in XIV lessons, which private viewing took place in the National Theatre in London, he has received the Nike Literary Award 2010. The founder of the first polish school of playwrights (The School of Dramas). His plays have been stage in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Japan, Spain, Germany, Israel, Hungary, Brazil, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Italy.

    Associate director of production, marketing and trade
    A graduate of the prestigious Master of Business Administration (MBA) postgraduate studies at SGH. Cultural manager. Associate director of the Tadeusz Łomnicki Theatre in Wola in the years 2011-2012. The producer of plays staged in the Laboratory of Drama, Przodownik Stage on 21 Olesińska St. and the Tadeusz Łomnicki Theatre in Wola, such as: Sex-machine by Tomasz Man, directed by Adam Nalepa, Maestro by J. Abramow-Newerly, directed by Anna Smolar, Malambo, Merlin. Inna Historia, Nasza klasa by Tadeusz Słobodzianek, directed by Ondrej Spisak, Przylgnięcie, Gardenia by Elżbieta Chowaniec, directed by Aldona Figura, Biedny ja, Suka i Jej Nowy Koleś by Michał Walczak, directed by Piotr Jędrzejas. She completed Journalism and Political Sciences degree (specialization in press and photogprahy) and Cultural Marketing at the University of Warsaw, and took part in the producer’s course at the Wajda School in Warsaw. From 2005 to 2009 associated with the media industry. She worked as a journalist in the theatrical monthly magazine Foyer, the commissioning editor of a cultural catalogue 7 dni/7 days, the executive editor of WiK and the commissioning editor of the special supplements in the weekly magazine Wprost. In the years 2006-2009 she was the co-owner of service providing theatrical programs for the online portal Co Jest Grane.
  • Małgorzata Gurdziel

    Director's financial officer
    A graduate of the Cracow University of Economics: specialization in public finances, and a graduate of the University of Warsaw: Postgraduate Studies in Medical Law, Bioethics and Sociology of Medicine and Postgraduate Studies in Public Relations. Among many trainings she completed: the course for the candidates for the member of Supervisory Boards, the course on managing staff “Human Resource Management”, the course for the Quality Managers. Since 2006 associated with Tadeusz Słobodzianek’s theatre, first with the Theatrical Author’s Association as the Bureau Director, and since 2010 with the Foundation of the Art of Dialogue and the Dramatic Theatre of Warsaw. She was responsible for all financial and formal-legal matters related to leading a public benefit and cultural activity. She sourced donations and settled accounts of the theatre. She negotiated and prepared contracts, she consulted the best financial and formal-legal solutions with the current management of the theatre, and also with strategical planning. Since 2010 she is filling managing roles in the public institutions of culture, such as: the Associate Director of Tadeusz Łomnicki Theatre In Wola responsible for Finances, HR, Marketing, Sales, Infrastructure, Legal Department and IT, since 2013 as the Director's Officer of the Dramatic Theatre of Warsaw responsible for Finances, HR, Marketing, Infrastructure, Legal Department and IT, and since 2018 as the Director's Financial Officer. In the years 2016-2018 in the collaboration with the Office of European Funds and Development Policies in the City Hall of the city of Warsaw she created and then supervised, within the framework of the Dramatic Theatre, the project “New quality of culture – the reformation of the accessibility of the cultural resources through modernization and equipment of the auditorium and selected theatrical stages in Warsaw”, which was granted a grant-aid within the Framework 5.3 Cultural Heritage, the Regional Operational Program in Mazovia for the years 2014-2020.
  • Mariusz Guglas

    Associate director of technology
    The graduate of the Institute of Technology in Zielona Góra in the field of Cultural Management. Involved in the stagecraft for over 20 years. Worked in the Wojciech Bogusławski Theatre in Kalisz, TR Warszawa and currently employed in the Dramatical Theatre of Warsaw. Supervised over 200 plays in terms of technology. On multiple occasions supervised theatrical festival in terms of technology: Warszawskie Spotkania Teatralne (Warsaw Theatrical Meetings), Kaliskie Spotkania Teatralne (Kalisz Theatrical Meetings), Festival of Russian Theatre “Da!Da!Da!”.
