BOHUMIL HRABAL

CLOSELY WATCHED TRAINS

1h 20min (no intermission) | Scena na Woli im. T. Łomnickiego

The Czechs can make a comedy out of a tragedy. The story of Miloš, a young rail worker at a small-town railway station, who completes his transition from a boy to a man, from a coward to a hero. The plot takes place during World War II, but Hrabal's protagonists do not let the war take away the flavour, joy and sex from their lives. Poor performance during the first night with his loved one is more important than Hitler and occupation? Why not?

PREMIERE September 22, 2017, T. Łomnicki Stage in Wola
