HANOCH LEVIN

THRILL MY HEART

1h 30min (no intermission) | Scena na Woli im. T. Łomnickiego

She is deceitful and shameless. He is naive and pushy. And then there is the helpless friend. Smaller parts include a French chiropodist, a Spanish accompanist, a Yugoslavian sailor and many other interesting men. This is a love affair which can fill one’s life.

Hanoch Levin - a poet, a comedy writer, a director and a scandalmonger, who is well-rooted in Poland, is the author of 63 plays; ”Thrill my heart” is one of his last ones. It contains the Israeli master’s entire knowledge of male-female relationships, all the tenderness and all the harshness. And melancholy, too.
